About the house
Tiggi's iing — a house, not a hotel.
Tiggi is short for Tigrania, our family name. Iing means 'house' in Khasi. We've kept things small on purpose: six rooms and one breakfast table that everyone shares. Our kitchen is vegetarian, with eggs at breakfast — and guests are always welcome to bring their own food.
Shillong has a way of slowing you down — the fog, the pines, the music drifting from a neighbour's verandah. The house tries to do the same.
