October and November, usually
Washed clean after the rains, these are usually the clearest weeks of the year — big skies, gold evenings, festival season. Around mid-November the Himalayan cherry blooms and the town turns pink for two or three weeks. The exact window drifts with each year's weather, so if the blossom is what you're coming for, write to us before you fix your dates.
